A series of examination hearings have been held to ensure the Examining Authority can make an informed decision on whether to recommend DCO be granted. The final decision will be made by the Secretary of State for the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. The examination is due to end on 21st August 2023, after which the Examining Authority will have three months to write their report to the Secretary of State. Following this, the Secretary of State will have a further three months to make their decision.
